Disability Rights Committee (VIOK)

The Disability Rights Committee operates as a permanent division under the Human Rights Delegation.

Under Article 33(3) of CRPD, persons with disabilities and their representative organizations shall be involved and participate fully in the monitoring process of CRPD implementation. Disability Rights Committee was set up for this purpose.

The Committee works to promote, protect and monitor the implementation of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Finland.
